In preparation for the reconstruction of Rosemary Avenue which is scheduled to start in Summer 2023, some of the existing trees within the boulevard of Rosemary Avenue on the City’s Right of Way will need to be removed as they will be in conflict with the boulevard re-grading work.
The project involves the removal of only three trees that are over 100mm in diameter. However, we will ensure that Urban Forestry only cuts down these trees after an ecologist has reviewed the area for any risks of bird nesting. As a compensation plan, we will be planting four new trees.
City’s Urban Forestry will be on site in early May 2023 to perform the tree removal on Rosemary Avenue, weather permitting.
