Jefferson Salamander Fall Migration - Oct. 6 to 29

Intermittent Overnight Road Closures Stouffville Road, Bayview Avenue to Leslie Street October 6 – 29, 2023, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

During this time of year, the salamanders cross Stouffville Road, leaving summer breeding grounds to return to their winter habitat. They make the passage at night and only when it’s raining.
