Free Lake Wilcox Parking Permits for Residents Now Available

Pay Parking Takes Effect April 1 for the Park and Oak Ridges Community Centre

Once again, pay parking at Lake Wilcox Park will be in effect April 1 through September 30. Richmond Hill residents are invited to get their free parking permit for the park and community centre online at Parking.RichmondHill.ca.

Lake Wilcox Park is one of Richmond Hill’s Destination Parks, attracting thousands of visitors from Richmond Hill and beyond for its unique combination of beautiful waterfront scenery and family-friendly amenities. Pay parking helps ensure visitors from outside Richmond Hill contribute to park monitoring and maintenance.

Parking for non-residents and those without permits costs $4 per hour at the Oak Ridges Community Centre, the skate park and the north gravel lots and $7 per hour at the main/splash pad lot.

During the spring and summer months, carpooling is strongly encouraged to help manage traffic. In addition:

  • Weekend parking on the streets neighbouring Lake Wilcox Park is restricted to residents and their guests with a permit.

  • Permit parking is in effect seven days a week on Bayview Park Lane, the west end of Dariole Drive and Sandbanks Drive.

  • Street parking permits are available for residents who live in the area.

If you have lost your permit or are new to the neighbourhood, please contact the City’s Parking team at 905-771-8860 or Parking@RichmondHill.ca.
