There are two items coming forward that are situated in Ward 1. Additional details further below.
A Zoning By-law Amendment application for a high density mixed use development that includes three 10 storey and three 11 storey residential buildings at 1200/1380 Stouffville Road (Islamic Centre property).
A Zoning By-law Amendment application for 60 King Road (Greek Market) to recognize and permit the existing commercial, office and residential uses within the four existing buildings

Request for comments regarding a Zoning By-law Amendment application to permit a high density mixed use development comprised of:
three 11 storey residential buildings,
three 10 storey residential buildings,
one four storey mixed use building to contain residential and commercial uses
a two storey institutional building which is to contain a private school and place of worship,
a total of approximately 960 dwelling units and 1,055 parking spaces.

3.3 SRPI.23.040 - Request for Comments - Zoning By-law Amendment Application - Greek Market Corner Ltd. - 60 King Road
A request for comments for a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment application to recognize and permit the existing commercial, office and residential uses within the existing buildings.
3.2 SRPI-23-049 - Request for Comments - Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment Applications - Hall Street Development Corporation - 107 Hall Street
A request for comments concerning proposed Official Plan Amendment and Zoning Bylaw Amendment applications to permit a high density residential development
In 2015 the previous applicant proposed a medium density residential development with 22 townhouses however the requisite Site Plan Agreement was not executed.
In Feb 2023 the current owner submitted Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment applications.
The proposed development is to be comprised of two apartment buildings, 10 and 14 storeys in height connected by an 8 storey podium. The existing heritage designated dwelling (the Dr. Langstaff House)is proposed to be retained and relocated to the front of the property.
How to attend Council Meetings and Provide Comments
City facilities are open to the public to attend Council and Committee meetings. The public can observe meetings of Council and Committees by attending in person or by viewing the livestream of the open session part of these meetings which can be accessed on the City’s YouTube page.
Public Comments: The public may submit written correspondence regarding agenda matters by email to clerks@richmondhill.ca. Written correspondence must be submitted by 12 p.m. on the day of the meeting. Comments submitted will be provided to all Members of Council, considered as public information and noted in the public record.
Delegations: No prior registration is required to make an in-person Delegation, but is encouraged. Prior registration is required should the public intend to make an electronic delegation by video conference or telephone. Applications to appear as a delegation must be submitted by 12 p.m. on the day of the meeting by email to clerks@richmondhill.ca or by using the online application form found here. The Office of the Clerk will provide instructions on appearing as a delegation.
