Committee of the Whole Wednesday March 1, 2023 at 10am
Council has reinstated Committee of the Whole meetings beginning March 1st. COW meetings are a less formal, discussion-oriented meeting with the same members of Council. Generally, matters are discussed at the Committee of the Whole level first, then given final approval at the subsequent Council meeting.
11.1 SRPI.23.008 – Draft Town Park Master Plan
The purpose of this staff report is to present the Draft Town Park Master Plan and to outline the public consultation process that will be followed to obtain input on the Draft Master Plan document.
11.2 SRPI.23.023 – Request for Direction – Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment Applications – 4Q Commercial WP Inc. – 11160 and 11172 Yonge Street
A revised development proposal to permit the construction of a high density mixed-use residential/commercial development to be comprised of 3 apartment buildings (29, 27 and 7 storeys in height) on its landholdings. The proposed development would provide for a total of 666 apartment dwelling units, and 757 parking spaces within three levels of underground parking
Staff recommends that the Ontario Land Tribunal be advised that Council does not support the Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment applications
How to attend Council Meetings and Provide Comments
City facilities are open to the public to attend Council and Committee meetings. The public can observe meetings of Council and Committees by attending in-person or by viewing the livestream of the open session part of these meetings which can be accessed on the City’s YouTube page.
Public Comments: The public may submit written correspondence regarding agenda matters by email to clerks@richmondhill.ca. Written correspondence must be submitted by 12 p.m. on the day prior to the meeting. Comments submitted will be provided to all Members of Council, considered as public information and noted in the public record.
Delegations: No prior registration is required to make an in-person Delegation, but is encouraged. Prior registration is required should the public intend to make an electronic delegation by video conference or telephone. Applications to appear as a delegation must be submitted by 12 p.m. on the day prior to the meeting by email to clerks@richmondhill.ca or by using the online application form found here. The Office of the Clerk will provide instructions on appearing as a delegation.
